Here at CIE, Inc., we take advanced education as well as student and business networking very seriously. In fact, four times per year, we set up a networking opportunity for our graduates to come together for lunch and a presentation by an inspiration in our field of esthetics called an Alumni Event. It is our hope that we can continue to further your education and knowledge to support your careers as well as our industry as a whole.

On September 9th, 2013, we had our fall Alumni Event here at CIE, Inc. CIE Alumna Patti Cox of Original Skin spoke on business ownership and development and demonstrated a medical level micro-needling service. What a spectacular service to see performed in person so that our CIE graduates are able to decide first hand if this is a medical esthetician service they would like to consider offering. There are many benefits to micro-needling, and Skin Inc. broke down a comparison of micro-needling and advanced exfoliation in this months edition of their magazine.

Skin Inc. reminds the professional esthetician how important it is to do your due diligence and research products and services before considering adding them to your list of services or portfolio. Patti Cox reiterated this at her speaking engagement with us as well in regards to any gimmick that may seem to take fad. In researching any type of skin rejuvenation service, we must focus on maintaining the structure and health of the skin while working to stimulate cellular renewal and increase the production of matrix proteins to provide a healthy appearance, according to Skin Inc.

With that being said, I would like you to invite you to read through the benefits and breakdowns of microdermabrasion, dermaplaning & micro-needling in the following Skin Inc. article to help you determine if it is something you would like to add to your repertoire. Then, if you have further interest, please contact Victoria at CIE, Inc. at 720.540.0333 to register for this or other advanced courses. We offer dermaplaning and micro-needling in one course or microdermabrasion and chemical peels separately.
