Healthy skin is important because it produces vitamin D when exposed to the sun. Fifteen minutes in the sun without sunscreen is a great way to get your daily Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for many of our body’s functions such as Calcium production and bone growth. Healthy skin also helps keep your body’s temperature at a constant level and helps you to react better to the changes around you by feeling pressure and pain. Healthy skin is your first defense against harmful bacteria and bad environmental pollutants. It is very important to take care of your skin because it takes care of you!
